North Pointe Motors has been a trusted name in European auto repair since 1991. The shop was originally founded by Tim Kompass and Chris Noyin, who built a solid reputation for honest, reliable service in the Skokie community. For over three decades, North Pointe Motors has remained committed to high-quality automotive care with a personal touch.
A New Chapter
In July of 2023, the shop entered a new chapter when long-time employee Adam Kalck and his wife Antoinette purchased the business from retiring owner Tim Kompass. Adam’s connection to North Pointe Motors runs deep—he first joined the team back in 2005 and has called the shop his second home ever since.
From Technician to Owner
Adam’s journey into the auto repair industry began after high school, when he attended Lincoln Technical Institute in Melrose Park, IL to pursue a career as an automotive technician. His hands-on experience, combined with years of working in various roles at North Pointe Motors, gave him a full understanding of how the business runs. When the opportunity came to carry on the legacy, he was ready to take the wheel.

Outside the Shop
When he’s not at work, Adam enjoys spending quality time with his wife Antoinette and their three sons—Jonathan, Joshua, and James. The family loves to explore new places, and one of Adam and Antoinette’s favorite getaways is wine tasting in New Buffalo, MI. It’s the perfect way to relax and recharge.
